The SFP-25G-AX-XX transceiver is a high performance, cost effective AOC line. Supporting a maximum data rate of 28.05 Gbps, the transceiver consists of two parts: the transmitter part uses 25G 850nm VCSEL, driver and CDR. The receiver part consists of PIN photodiode and transimpedance preamplifier (TIA), limiting amplifier and CDR. . The transceiver can be hot swapped into a 20-pin connector.
The high speed electrical interface is based on low voltage logic with a nominal 100 ohm differential impedance and AC coupling in the transceiver. The light output can be disabled via the LVTTL logic high level input of TX_DIS. A loss of signal (RX_LOS) output is provided to indicate the loss of the input optical signal of the receiver.
The serial EEPROM in the transceiver allows the user to access transceiver monitoring and configuration data through the 2-wire SFP management interface. The interface uses a single address, A0h, and the memory map is divided into lower and upper areas. The basic digital diagnostic data is saved in the lower area, and the specific data is stored in a series of tables in the high storage area.
